Signing Off

We are traveling to Houston over the Christmas holidays so I won't be posting for awhile. I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday and that Santa brings you everything you want! For me, Santa is bringing some quality family time and I can't wait to soak it all in!

The picture that was not

We took probably over 100 pictures on 3 different occasions and finally came up with a photo that was suitable for a family Christmas card. Last year we unfortunately never got around to a Christmas card with a new born so I had big plans for this year. This picture took a close second to the one we actually chose, and now looking back I kind of wish we would have used this. I'll post the actual card later after everyone should have received it. And I would like to say that I had the hardest time getting Paul in this outfit, but I have to say he now wears the outfit all the time! :)

Polka Dot Party!

So I couldn't throw a 1st birthday party without taking lots of pictures! Prepare yourself for another long post!

I worked really hard on this party, made all of the decorations and all of the food and desserts. Unfortunately my homemade crackers (yes, I said homemade crackers) didn't make it into the pictures! I'm making them again soon and will be sure to post about it.

A Wonderful Year

On December 4th 2009 at 4:29pm our lives were changed for the better when we welcomed into this world Taylor Bea.

The first month of life brought lots of changes for mommy and daddy. Sleepless nights, diaper changes, and constant feedings. At the time it seemed like this would last forever, and now its like a distant memory thats hard to remember

Month 2 brought smiles for mommy and daddy and an eight hour stretch of sleep at night

Month 3 brought even more sleep at night and many new accomplishments. Holding up her head, pushing her head up while laying on her tummy, and reaching out to touch toys. Oh what joy the little things bring!

Month four had lots of changes! Eating baby food, rolling over, waving, hi-fiving, laughing at Max, and eating her feet

Month 5 she slept 10-12 hours at night and learned to sit up

Month 6 brought in her very first teeth and her very first hair cut.  Taylor learned how to clap, say "dada," army crawl and stand while holding onto objects

Month seven brought sleeping from 7-7. She pulled up on everything she could so she could stand, then of course the "cruising" began!

Month 8 she learned how to climb the stairs and how to pick up food with her fingers

Month 9 she refused baby food in exchange for food she could feed herself, and learned how to dance with yo gabba gabba

Month 10 brought Taylor's first steps!

Month 11 she got walking down, added lots of new words, and learned how to point to what she wanted

And now that it's month 12, all is very well. Looking back I don't know where the time has gone, but I know it's been good. We have a beautiful daughter, a wonderful family, and a bright future.
Happy first birthday to my little Tay Tay! We love you so much!
