So my competition has come and gone! I had so much fun competing and I'm I'm completely in shock of how I was able to transform my body. I was no where near perfect, but I was leaner than I've ever been in my entire life! And all this after having had a baby!

I ended up placing 12th out of 26 girls which isn't so bad for my first show. I do plan to compete again, just not sure if it's going to be this year or next. I would love to expand my family and maintaing a low body fat won't make that possible.

Then they called us out in groups based on the order you came on stage in. I'm in the blue looking over my shoulder


Then they did call outs. I was in 2nd call outs. Usually girls in the 1st callout at the top girls, and so forth. I'm all the way on the right

Then I was brought back out with the girls who were in the 1st call out. Thats when I thought I was going to be in the top 5 at the final show. But sadly, they didn't end up calling my name :( I was sad! I'm in the middle. The girl to my right one first (really sweet girl!), the girl to her right was 2nd, and the girl to her right was 3rd. The girl to the left of me was 5th, and the girl who placed forth wasn't in this line up


This was after pre-judging. My trainer gave me pretty flowers. This photo really shows how dark my spray tan was! After we came home, we had to go back for awards to see who the top 5 were.

I wish I could say I still looked like this, but after way too much indulging I don't! But that's ok. It's the holidays and I'm going to enjoy myself! I'll get right back on track after the new year!

Almost There!



It's time for another update! Actually, I think I'm overdue. I have less than a week and a half until my competition. And to say I'm ready for it to be done would be an understatement. Everything has been great up until this week. This week started the first change in my diet. My calories got reduced to 1300, carbs to less than 100 g, and protein stayed the same. Not sure what my daily fat goal is, but there's hardly any in my diet. 

The lack of carbs is getting to me. I'm having difficulty sleeping at night. I'm so tired, but for some reason I lie in bed and toss and turn for hours. Then I find myself waking at 5am unable to return to sleep. I just keep telling myself I'm almost there and I've come too far to give up now. 

So here are the latest photos. I did my "stage pose." Don't hate. The backside photo is exactly how I should NOT stand on stage. I don't want my shoulder blades to pop out like that so I need to practice holding them out wide.

Big Girl

In one short month my baby girl is turning two. I just can't believe it! Where has the time gone?

A few months ago Paul and I decided it was time to switch Taylor to a big girl bed. She was starting to look cramped in her crib and she climbed out one time. That next day I was scouring online looking for the perfect bed and bedding. She's been sleeping in it great for some time now!

This past weekend I finally finished hanging everything on the walls and my sister and I even decorated it for Christmas. Taylor loves her new bed and especially her new Christmas tree!

Pumpkin Patch

Sunday Paul and I took Taylor to the pumpkin patch in Marble Falls. It took us less than an hour to get there and we are so glad went! Taylor had so much fun and she is still talking about it! Every morning she asks if we can go to the pumpkin patch. Maybe when Jackson comes for a visit we can make another trip!

Waving again as the barrel ride came to an end. And I have to mention that she wanted to go around again, but it was getting really hot and crowded. She will have to wait until next time!

6 1/2 Weeks Out

Totally slacking on my fitness updates. Oops!

Two weeks ago I had my body fat checked by my trainer. I was actually dreading this because my weight has been fluctuating. I got down to 131, then went back up to 134. At that point, I had not cheated at all, so  I wasn't sure why I was gaining. After checking my body fat, I dropped 4%!!! That brought me down to 11.3% body fat! I was so excited! My trainer said the weight change was probably just water I was holding onto and not to worry about it.

That was two weeks ago. Since then I have fallen off the wagon a bit. And by a bit, I mean just a little. I've maintained my workout and diet program, but I caved when it came to sweets!!! As many of you know, my BF and I started our own baking company and we have been a little busy. Last weekend we volunteered for Austin Bakes for Bastrop and donated cookies and cupcakes to help raise money for the fire victims. It was a huge success! But I ate 3 cupcakes!!! Not all at once, but this is soooooo not allowed!




I've got my game face back on and I'm really going to try hard not to cheat anymore! I can do anything for 6 more weeks, right?!?!

So here's my current stats:

Weight: 132
Body Fat: 10.2%

I can see a big change through my mid section from my last progress pic. And my legs. I flexed in this picture, which I don't think I did before, so that's probably why they look way more defined. But I've been killing it on my legs!

Alright... need encouragement!!! Tell me not to cheat!!!!

10 Weeks

Wow! I can't believe I've made it through 3 weeks already! Only 10 more to go!!!

Things have been going great so far. My diet is still the same, and my workouts have been the same. Monday starts a change to my workout program. Currently I have been doing lighter weights and lots of reps. Now we go HEAVY! This means less reps because my muscles will fatigue faster. I will be doing 3 days on, 1 day off, repeat. This way I will hit each body part two times a week. So, I'm guessing I'm going to be pretty sore by weeks end!

My trainer wants to see progress pics, so here they are. I'm currently down to 132 lbs and as of last Wednesday, my body fat was 15.4%, so down slightly from last time. 



Oh, and I'm about to order my bikini! I'm just waiting on the fabric swatches to get in the mail so I can decide on a color. I'll post about that once they arrive!

Ok, off to make protein ice cream for my dessert!
